Something old has renewed: March 2006
I decided to rejoin Weight Watchers after taking nearly a year off from meetings. I really miss the support and accountability that the meetings give me. I went to my first meeting today (3/8), and I was so happy to see my old leader and receptionist still there! I really like those ladies, they are great. With the new 1st starting weight, I have gained almost a pound since my first 1st starting weight almost three years ago. But this is a new beginning for me, and it will all get better from here.
Something New: (as of the last
week of May '05)
I have decided to be a Weight Watcher's drop-out for the summertime and make the attempt at trying a different method.
I really needed to know the nutritional value of the foods I have been
eating. At first, I created a spreadsheet with a food diary. In
attempting to find calories, I came across
CalorieKing.com I have since
downloaded the DeskTop Diary and I love it! It calculates the total
nutritional package of the foods I eat, and I have set goals which is easily
manageable! Even though I thought I was eating a more protein-rich
diet, I can clearly see now that I am not.
The part I like best about using this as a weight-loss tool, is that I feel like I know more about what I am taking in, rather than just a Weight Watcher Point Value. So, I am giving myself 8 weeks to try this out and we'll see what results I get. At the very least, I am no longer feeling the drudgery of being stuck in a rut. It was time for me to try something new that I know is also healthy for me.
I will continue to mark my weigh in days with the calendar I came up with for my Weight Watchers stuff. See below for links if you are interested.
On September 3, 2003, I joined Weight Watchers. I know that my weight loss experience will be slow, but I am determined that regardless of the length of time it takes me to reach my ultimate goal, I will get there.
